Martyn Dempsey is a Cornish artist whose life and work embody a love for creativity and a bold pursuit of passion. In the 1990s, he garnered recognition for his design and business acumen, winning awards like " Best Business Product Design in the South West," the "Arthur Anderson Award for Best Expanding Company,"
However, Martyn's true passion lay in the arts. He made a life-altering decision to sell his successful company and channel his energy into artistic expression. This leap of faith led him to exhibit his artwork in galleries worldwide, establishing himself as a respected painter.
Building upon his international platform, Martyn launched his "Crustacean Authentic" range of Cornish sea life sculptures. These sculptures capture the essence of the Cornish coast with meticulous detail and artistic flair, drawing inspiration from the natural world around him.

IT’S ALL ABOUT PROCESS.
Our sculptures are steeped in history, crafted using a method dating back to 3000 BC. We combine recycled copper and zinc, remnants of ships and coins given new life, forming a molten alloy heated to scorching temperatures. This liquid metal is then poured into meticulously prepared sandcast moulds, where it cools and solidifies.
But our craft doesn't end there. Each piece undergoes a meticulous hand-finishing process, where we apply patinas to create a spectrum of unique finishes. This personalized touch ensures every sculpture possesses its own captivating character.
